Product description

New Zealand packhorse is larger and have a slightly greener colour than red crayfish and are mainly caught in the far north waters of New Zealand. The packhorse can be distinguished by its much large body size, smoother tail, and its very broad carapace, only slightly shorter than the abdomen. Packhorse rock lobsters are found in the Northern areas of the North Island between Cape Reinga, and just south of the Mahia Peninsula on the East cape.

We provide a Pre-Order Service for this seasonal product.  We will contact you when the product arrives, and arrange for you for the delivery or pick up.

Processing, Packing and Cooking

All of our seafood is caught and delivered daily in New Zealand so you know you are getting the freshest seafood possible

Free Fish Processing:

We provide free fish process services for live fish, including filleting, gilling and gutting.

Packing:

The processed fish is individually packed in vacuum, and an ice bag will be put on the vacuum bag to make sure the freshness of the products. It is hygienic and all aspects ensure that seafood is kept 100% fresh during transportation.

Cooking tips:

There are various cooking methods, including steaming, braising, soup or pan fried. Steaming especially reflects its tenderness and sweetness.
